The name of my element that I'm doing is "Promethium", its atomic number is 61. Promethium is a "rare earth element", rarely found on earth but is believed that Saturn's largest moon "Titan" contains huge amount of Promethium. The element was predicted by two scientist in early 1900's, they were Brohuslav Brauner and Henry Moseley. However the discoverer was Jacob A. Marinsky, Lawrence E. Glendenin and Charles D. Coryell. The ideas for my print came from some research that was I doing, it is a rare on earth but it doesn't mean there isn't any. Research showed that promethium are used in "Portable X-ray Generators, Spacecrafts, and Nuclear Batteries". From there I googled all of these for images and picked one that would look interesting and self explanatory. I haven't started the plate yet, but I can predict that it is going to be pretty difficult to do so. I personally like the part where I trace the drawing to the linoleum, even though it got me frustrated because it won't show too much, but watching even a bit of it show up on the linoleum looks fun. Things I would do better next time would be to get the tasks done on time and not take so long.
